The following categories of people will get help in the form of a free test and help towards the cost of their specs:

1. Children under 16
2. Full time students under 19
3. People claiming income support

The following people will get the sight test free

1. Anyone over 60 years old
2. Anyone who suffers from Diabetes
3. Anyone who suffers from Glaucoma
4. Anyone aged 40+ and is a direct relative (parent, child, brother or sister) of someone who suffers from Glaucoma.
5. Anyone with a very high (complex) prescription ie above 10 Dioptres
